The Trustees are responsible for the physical property of the church. They work diligently to maintain and care for the church property as well as the pastor’s residence.
The Board of Trustees is made of nine members. Each member serves a term of 3 years, and can serve up to two terms in a row for a total of six years, so each year as many as three seats may change. The Board of Trustees as functions as the official Board of Trustees for the corporation of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City. This usually only comes into play once a year at the annual congregational meeting when, by law the corporation of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City must have its annual meeting.
The Board of Trustees usually meet at the church on the fourth Monday of the month at 7pm.
