Missionary Partners

First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City currently helps to sponsor two missionary partners.

The Pousseur Family. Shalom House. Tokyo, Japan

The Pousseur Family lives and serves in Tokyo, Japan. They are helping to launch “Shalom House, an Arts and Community center. It will be a place where missionaries, Japanese pastors, and other gospel workers can come together to serve and grow alongside each other as they seek to use art and community to draw the Japanese community around them towards Christ and the wholeness his Kingdom offers.

In their words:
At its core, we see this as planting the seeds of a healthy church. We have also seen that “family” can be a powerful tool for “showing off” the goodness of God and his Kingdom! We love to invite people into our home so that they can get a taste of what Christ offers, and can see his words and promises lived out through us.
