Rev Robert Peak

Pastor Peak is a graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. After serving two churches in Eastern Ohio, he came to FPCJC on October 15, 1990. Under Pastor Peak’s Christ-centered leadership, FPCJC has continued its mission based roots, high musical expectations, detailed Bible Study and commitment to teaching our youth. The church launched its commitment to senior ministry, Andrew’s Good News Ministry, N.O.A.H. flood & disaster response ministry, planned national and international missions trips, midweek community dinner & worship services, and outreach to local schools. He and his wife, Brenda, raised their three children here and have made this community their home.

Rev Peak exemplifies the quality of servant leadership both in the church and community. His enthusiasm for the gospel message and compassion for people has been an asset to the leadership of the church in fulfilling our calling as a people of Christ. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

Glenna Coutts, Music Director

Glenna has been the Music Director since August 2009 and has brought a fresh approach to our music program. Since coming on staff, she has led us in Christmas and Easter musicals. She utilizes the music talent in the congregation in a variety of ways, uses her own gifts of music, encourages and works with the youth to offer their musical talents (both instrumental and vocal). Glenna makes herself available to oversee the music for all of our services. She has lived in this community most of her life with her husband, Dave, and has played & directed in a number of churches. Glenna is an asset to our church as music director and Clerk of Session. Her love for Christ and her passion for music and worship are a blessing to the church and community. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises.” Psalm 98:4.

Tami Steele, Church Administrative Assistant

Tami has been serving in the church office since 2007. She willingly lends a listening and supportive ear as a front line of the church outreach. Tami states, “One of life’s greatest blessings is the opportunity to work at a job you enjoy and are blessed by good friends.” In addition to her service at church, Tami serves as an ambulance driver in the community. She and her husband, Brian, have two girls. Tami is the best! “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:58

Amy Abbey, Outreach Coordinator

Amy coordinates the Wednesday Community Meal and other outreach ministries through our ‘This Day’ program. Amy is always willing to go the extra mile — and always with a smile. She likes to say: “no one leaves (our church) empty handed… or empty hearted!”. We could also add “… and no one leaves on an empty stomach!”
